Project Aliens
Branding of a community for people who are different
In this project, I made and branded an organization called "UCO." It's an organization that aims to unite on our differences. We refer to ourselves as "Aliens," and we celebrate our uniqueness as well as stand up against discrimination. All the identifiers and graphic elements are designed to convey those core messages.
All the members of the organization will be referred as aliens. People can make their own avatar through the website. In the interface, it asks you to put two things that alienate you from others as your "alien quality," implying that whatever makes you alienated and different as an identity. Even if you are not the people who're facing the discrimination, by creating yourself into an alien and putting yourself in the same light as others who might have been suffering, make the matter more relatable.

The posters use spaceship window as a motif and will be printed on reflective material, so when you look into the poster your face will be reflected in the poster and marge with the alien, hence showing you as an alien.
As a community activity, you are asked to conduct research on humans. The assignment asks you to find something that are peculiar about humans, and report back using a alien report cards.
